By accessing the Scuba Legends website (collectively, “Our Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Scuba Legends” refers to Scuba Legends S.L., and “you” or “your” refers to you as the user of Our Website.
We may modify these Terms at any time and for any reason by posting a new version on Our Website. Such changes will not affect any rights or obligations that arose prior to those changes. Your continued use of Our Website after the publication of any revised Terms will be subject to the Terms in effect at the time of your use. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes. If you object to any provision of these Terms, any subsequent modification of these Terms, or if you are dissatisfied with Our Website in any way, your sole remedy is to immediately discontinue using Our Website.

Acceptance of a booking, once confirmed, implies the customer’s agreement with this CANCELLATION POLICY established by SCUBA LEGENDS.
If a booking consists of multiple days, participants, and/or activities, the booking is considered to have commenced on its first day. Therefore, subsequent activities cannot be cancelled or refunded. All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER
Snorkeling, Recreational Diving Courses, and Diving Excursions
Regardless of the reason, cancellations are handled as follows:
* More than 2 DAYS (48 hours) before the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
* Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) of the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% cancellation charges apply.
A special cancellation policy applies to group bookings of 4 or more participants:
* More than 15 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
* 15–3 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: 50% refund.
* Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) of the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% cancellation charges apply.
A special cancellation policy applies to group bookings of 10 or more participants:
* More than 30 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
* 30–15 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: 50% refund.
* Within 14 DAYS of the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% cancellation charges apply.
Professional Courses
All professional-level courses, starting from the Divemaster Course, require a deposit to secure your place, as well as full payment for PADI course materials (non-refundable).
Regardless of the reason, cancellations are handled as follows:
* More than 30 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: Full refund (excluding deposit and PADI materials).
* Between 30 and 11 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: 50% refund (excluding deposit and PADI materials).
* Within 10 DAYS of the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% cancellation charges apply.
Technical Diving Courses and Diving Excursions
A special cancellation policy applies to all technical diving-related activities:
* More than 15 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: Full refund.
* 15–3 DAYS before the scheduled activity date: 50% refund.
* Within 2 DAYS (48 hours) of the scheduled activity date: No refund or rescheduling; 100% cancellation charges apply.
Vouchers & Gift Certificates
A special cancellation policy applies to the purchase and use of any type of voucher (e.g., gift certificates, promotional codes, discount cards, store credit, Bono Consume Lanzarote, etc.):
* Vouchers are valid for a specified period.
* Activities must be scheduled before the expiry date.
* Vouchers are non-refundable after purchase.
* Once activity dates have been confirmed, no refunds or changes are permitted; 100% charges apply.
PADI eLearning and Course Materials
All non-professional diving courses include access to the PADI eLearning platform or printed manuals. PADI materials are non-refundable. However, in the event of cancellation, these materials may be used with any other PADI Dive Center or Instructor. The applicable cost of PADI eLearning access and materials will be deducted from the total amount before any refund is issued.
Late Arrivals / No-Shows
Arriving on time is essential for the smooth operation of our activities. The scheduled time indicated is the start time of the booked activity. Punctuality is not only a matter of following a schedule; it demonstrates respect for both other customers and our staff. Participants are responsible for planning their arrival appropriately, taking into account factors such as traffic, unfamiliar surroundings, possible public transport delays, and parking availability. Being punctual ensures that everyone can fully enjoy their underwater experience. We recommend arriving at the meeting point 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Regardless of the reason, if a customer arrives late but is still able to participate in the scheduled activity, the delay will be deducted from the total activity duration. However, to avoid disrupting the schedule of both staff and other customers, delays exceeding 15 minutes will be considered a “no-show” and will result in the inability to participate in the booked activity. Where transfers (by land or water) are involved, punctuality is mandatory. Any delay will result in the inability to participate in the booked activity. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
CANCELLATIONS BY SCUBA LEGENDS
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
Regardless of experience level, Spanish law requires participants to be medically fit for any diving activity (e.g., Discover Scuba Diving experiences, diving courses, guided dives). Ensuring medical fitness to dive is the responsibility of each participant. A medical certificate may be required for certain pre-existing medical conditions. Therefore, before booking or participating in any diving activity, it is essential to carefully review the medical questionnaire.
If a medical certificate is required, participants must follow the instructions provided in the form. A scanned copy of the completed certificate must then be emailed to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) before taking part in any in-water diving activity.
If a participant is unable to provide a medical certificate when required due to a pre-existing medical condition, Spanish law prohibits participation in diving activities. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Incorrect, Incomplete, or Late Submission of Personal Information
We strive to ensure a smooth experience by preparing, packing, and loading all equipment required for your booked activity. Since these preparations are generally completed 1–2 days before the activity date, we kindly ask each participant to provide their personal information at the time of booking. This allows us to:
* Pre-complete the necessary documents and forms.
* Prepare the correct equipment according to size requirements.
* Organize groups by age, language, experience level, etc.
* Schedule our staff efficiently.
* Register participants for insurance and eLearning access.
* And more.
Due to logistical and organizational constraints, equipment cannot be prepared on the day of the activity. Therefore, it is essential that customers carefully read their booking confirmation and provide all requested information to the dive center in writing before 10:00 a.m. (GMT+1) on the day preceding the activity. For last-minute bookings or bookings made outside office hours, immediate submission of this information is mandatory.

Theory Self-Study
If a participant does not complete the required theory and/or preparations for each training session, they will not be permitted to start or continue the course. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply. Additional training sessions may be arranged at an extra cost, subject to availability.
Influence of Substances
Scuba Legends reserves the right to refuse service to any customer under the influence of substances such as drugs, alcohol, or similar impairing substances. No refund or rescheduling; 100% charges apply.
Weather Conditions
Scuba Legends selects dive locations based on safety, weather conditions, and participant experience levels. Normal wind, cloud cover, or rain do not constitute grounds for activity cancellation.
Bookings affected by adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control will be relocated or rescheduled whenever possible. If this is not possible, the customer will receive a refund in the form of a gift voucher.
Payment must be made at the time of booking. In the event of a cancellation, any applicable refund will be issued in accordance with our Cancellation Policy and processed using the same payment method originally used for the booking.
Regardless of experience level, all participants must be medically fit and in good health to dive. Ensuring medical fitness for diving is the responsibility of each participant, and a medical certificate may be required for certain medical conditions. Therefore, before booking or participating in any diving activity, it is essential to carefully review the medical questionnaire.
If a medical certificate is required, participants must follow the instructions outlined in the form. Subsequently, please email a scanned PDF copy of the completed document, ideally no later than 2 days before the scheduled activity.
If a participant is unable to provide a medical certificate signed by a qualified physician when required, Spanish law prohibits participation in diving activities. Unfortunately, under such circumstances, neither refunds nor rescheduling will be possible.
Please note that diving is an adventure sport that carries inherent risks. Your honesty is required and is particularly important for your own safety, the safety of your dive buddy, and the well-being of our staff. If you have any doubts regarding your medical fitness to dive or require further guidance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
In addition, it is important to note that students enrolled in professional-level courses, such as the PADI Divemaster Course or PADI Instructor Course, are subject to the same medical certificate requirement, regardless of their current medical condition.
Please be advised that Scuba Legends reserves the right to withhold certification upon completion of any course if the instructor determines that the student has not met the required standards and performance criteria. It is important to understand that certification cannot be guaranteed solely through payment.
Our training sessions strictly adhere to the standards established by the relevant diving association. Most skills build upon one another and require successful completion before progressing further. Unless a private course has been arranged, if a student chooses to interrupt their training or is unable to meet the required skill standards despite having sufficient time to practice and develop those skills, the instructor must continue with the remaining participants to ensure the course progresses as scheduled.
As outlined in our Cancellation Policy, no refunds or rescheduling will be provided in such cases. However, additional training sessions may be arranged at an extra cost, subject to availability.
The Open Water Course is designed specifically for beginners and requires no prior diving experience. However, if you do not yet feel comfortable in the ocean or are uncertain about pursuing certification, we recommend trying a Discover Scuba Diving experience before enrolling in a course.
If you are particularly nervous or have had a previous negative experience, you may wish to consider booking a private course. This allows the instructor to focus entirely on your individual needs and progress. If you would like further advice or guidance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
When diving equipment used by the participant is provided by SCUBA LEGENDS, it is the customer’s responsibility to return all equipment to the dive center in the same condition in which it was supplied.
The customer is responsible for inspecting the equipment before use and must report any defects, damage, irregularities, or malfunctions immediately.
Regardless of the activity or the circumstances involved, in the event of loss, theft, or damage to any equipment used during the activity, the customer shall be responsible for covering the full cost of repair or replacement of the affected equipment.
Spanish law requires every certified diver to hold valid personal diving insurance. Non-certified divers are covered under the dive center’s insurance policy. Certified divers may enroll in our daily or long-term DAN IDA insurance plans. If you already have personal diving insurance, please provide us with your insurance details, including any depth limitations or coverage restrictions that may apply.
In addition to diving insurance, we strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance through their local insurance provider. This can help cover accidents, illnesses, or other unforeseen circumstances unrelated to diving that may occur while travelling abroad.
Special offers, discount codes, and promotions are limited and subject to availability. SCUBA LEGENDS reserves the right to terminate these offers without prior notice. If the customer wishes to modify their booking (for example, changes in the number of participants, activities, dates, etc.), the new booking will be subject to the current prices and conditions. Any previously granted discounts will no longer be valid.
