You move gently across the surface of the sea using mask, snorkel, and fins, without rush, allowing you to enjoy the underwater scenery in complete calm.
You wear a wetsuit that helps keep you warm and buoyant, so you can focus on what truly matters: enjoying a safe, comfortable, and discovery-filled experience.
During the initial safety briefing, the instructor explains the basics of snorkelling, how to use the equipment, and which marine life you can expect to see. Starting from the beach, you first practice in shallow water before snorkelling from the protected bay of Playa Chica toward open water, always staying close to the reef.
Playa Chica is much more than a beautiful location: it is a living underwater ecosystem full of surprises.
As you snorkel above its reefs and volcanic formations, you are surrounded by marine life at every turn. Sunlight filters through the water, creating a stunning visual display over the light sand and dark volcanic rocks below, revealing a truly magical scene.
From tiny crabs to graceful rays gliding calmly by, the biodiversity is remarkable. You may encounter colourful parrotfish, schools of sardines, hidden octopus, playful squid, trumpetfish, barracudas, and many other marine species that make this area an exceptional place to explore.

The total duration is up to 2 hours, including the safety briefing, time to get changed, and an introduction to the marine life you may encounter. You’ll spend approximately 45–60 minutes in the water, starting with practice in shallow areas. The exact timing depends on the season and the group’s preferences.
Yes. All our snorkel excursions include full snorkel equipment and insurance, so you can focus entirely on enjoying the experience.
Absolutely. No previous experience is required. You only need basic swimming skills and the curiosity to explore the ocean
Yes. You can add an underwater camera as an extra during the booking process. All photos will be uploaded to our cloud and shared with you by email after the excursion.
No. We enter the water directly from Playa Chica beach. No boat is required.
Dress as you would for the beach. We recommend wearing your swimsuit under your clothes. Bringing a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, and dry clothes to change into afterward is also advised.
While we are in the water, your personal belongings will be stored safely in our vehicle together with our equipment. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for loss or theft.
We meet directly at Playa Chica. After completing your booking, you’ll receive detailed information on how to get there and where to park.
