Scuba Legends Dive Center Lanzarote is located in Puerto del Carmen. You’ll find us inside the “Puerto Cinco” shopping center, on the second floor (above the Dino supermarket, next to the Spinnaker restaurant).
All beginner activities — snorkel excursions, PADI Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Scuba Diver courses, and PADI Open Water Diver courses — include full equipment and insurance.
Activities for certified divers, including guided dives and advanced courses, include tanks and weights only. Full or individual dive equipment can be rented at an additional cost.
Spanish law requires all certified divers to have personal dive insurance. Please bring proof of valid dive insurance before diving or contact us to arrange one of our daily or long-term insurance options.
If you dive regularly, having your own annual dive insurance is highly recommended. If you already have insurance and plan to participate in technical dives or technical courses, we advise checking whether technical diving is covered.
In addition to dive insurance, we strongly recommend having general travel insurance from your local provider to cover non-diving-related accidents or illness while abroad.
Lanzarote offers excellent diving conditions all year round thanks to its mild climate and stable water temperatures. Most marine life can be seen throughout the year. However, the best time to dive depends on what you’re looking for:
Winter (December to February):
Water temperatures range between 18–20 °C, with excellent visibility often exceeding 30 meters. This is an ideal time if you’re looking for crystal-clear underwater views and fewer crowds. During winter, sightings of angelsharks are more common, as they prefer cooler waters.
Spring & Summer (March to August):
Water temperatures gradually rise, reaching up to 24 °C by mid-summer. Conditions are calm, marine life is abundant, and air temperatures are warm. This period includes high season, especially during school holidays, when the island is busier.
Autumn (September to November):
With water temperatures around 22–24 °C, this season offers a perfect balance of warm water and diverse marine life, including migratory species. It’s also an excellent time to spot cuttlefish and octopus hatchlings, and angel sharks begin to return gradually.
