Just a few minutes by boat from Playa Blanca, diving at the Museo Atlántico creates a deep connection between art, nature, and awareness.
This experience, with a dive between 10 and 14 meters, is open to both beginner and experienced divers.
Created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, this unique underwater space features powerful sculptures that evolve over time, becoming artificial reefs that host marine life and tell an important story.

TRY DIVE + MUSEO ATLÁNTICO
Start your scuba journey with a first try dive in Playa Chica, followed by a second boat dive at the Museo Atlántico.
Depth: 10–25 m
Dive sites: Museo Atlántico, Punta Berruga, Las Coloradas, Las Lenguas, Emisario, Punta Ginés
When diving in the south of the island, we head to the port of Playa Blanca and start the dives by boat from there. One of the dives takes place at the Underwater Museum, while the second dive is carried out at a nearby reef.
Good news! Even without certification, you can still dive at the Museo Atlántico.
However, the site does not offer shallow water for initial skill practice.
For this reason, you’ll first complete the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program from the shore at Playa Chica.
In shallow water, you’ll practice the most important basics to feel comfortable and enjoy your first dive to a depth of up to 6 meters. Once this first dive is successfully completed, you’ll be ready for the boat dive at the Underwater Museum, where you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
